It didn't matter to them that I was the manufacturer. After that, I replaced the plate to read 75hp... 
Once I knew I was getting the ticket I argued that their Sears row boat had a rating of 55hp. I told them to write themselves a ticket because they had a 60 hp on it...
Bad experience that year....
