Lucas Oil 3rd on first day

Great job Nigel and Nick!

Nigel called with a quick recount. He was running 2nd next to Spidy and Fury into the first turn. He has a big hole in the side of the boat from a first lap incident. He went from 10 place to claim 3rd out of 16 starters. Spidy broke and Swich spun and sank.

Rodrigues Group
Fury?
Lucas Oil

That is all I Know for now.

There was something about Adrenalin leading all race and pulling off on the last lap. I was also told that someone had a heart attack in an Mti. Does anyone have any info?

Lucas ran a great race - gained on the leader every lap. Pictures to follow.

The engines overheated on the first lap when he was in the top 3. He finished 8th today.

Spidy won.

Pro Marine won cat Popeyes 2nd.

That is all I heard so far.

Correction- Spidy missed a bouy and was demoted to 4th. Adrenalin won. Nigel was 6th on second race. Results have been hard to come by.

Adrenalin (Scot and Ken) have the best chance to win overall with a 2nd on the first day and a win yesterday.

Good luck today. It has layed down and it should be a fast race.

Lucas had overheating gremlins again. It was a problem all year. It would come and go from race to race. The last minute changes after Wed made things worse. The motors were in guardian from the start on Sat and Sun.

I never found out who won. Adrenalin, Spidy and Fury were out and there was a pack of Fountains out front. It sounds like everyone was having trouble.

Next year.

Lucas got 4th on wed. because of a penalty.Instigator got 3rd on wed. It seems Nigel chopped the Switch in a turn causing them to barrel roll. Nigel did the same to Instigator a lap later.

I noticed that too and wondered why. I found hardcopy in the press tent on Monday morning. With all the technology available, I could rig something that would allow popping results onto the net for immediate consumption. The SBI website still shows no official information, and if it's on APBA, I don't see it yet.

Since you guys know all the players, who should I contact to bring these orgs into the 20th century?

Great event, great show last week.

The only results I have seen have been who won. It is pathetic. There seems to be 3 heads and no-body. If the racing groups want the sport to grow at least let the fans and sponsors know what is going on.

As far as racing incidents. It is racing.

Congratulations to Rodrigues Group and to who ever got 2nd and 3rd and so on.. Maybe someone could fill in the blanks some day.

Can't say with 100% certainty, but I was heard on local KW radio Lightning Strikes got second. Don't recall 3rd, so won't say anything further... :-)
