Bad Boy Super V in 2005
SubscribeWith the testing that has been going on down in Sarasota this weekend it would be great to add some details or pics to this thread about the testing that has gone on thus far. Hope all is going well down there.
The only thing I can tell you at this point is that everyone was extrememly pleased with the performance of the boat. The boat broke 100+ out of the box. The boys are on their way home now and may hit some bad weather along the way. So it may take a while for pics and numbers.
A little tweaking here and there and this boat should be a contender.

Has a decision been made on the OPA races qualifying for the national/worlds? And is cape cod a definite go? Are the rules for the p-class sbi/apba?
You may be asking that question in the wrong thread topic.Originally Posted by TKO

I think OPA will be following SBI/ABPA rule structure
Cape is up in the air
Dont think OPA races will qualify for worlds
I believe you will have to run 2 National events to qualify

OPA races counted last year didn't they? Isn't that how PaPa Dukes got in I think as well as several other boats?

Yes..last year OPA races did count. But, I think this year, SBI is requiring 2 SBI Nationals to qualify. Im not 100% sure.Originally Posted by Ryan Beckley

The question was brought up at the meeting yesterday. I thought I heard that the OPA starts were going to count. The only thing that was left in question was whether it was going to be 2 or 3 starts. I don't remember anyone saying anything about it having to be a National event...
As was stated, talk to Eddie Smith or Bubba for that matter.

I heard the same thing. It sounded like Smitty and John worked it out so 2 or 3 OPA starts would qualify a team for Key West 05. 2 or 3 was the only question.
