SVL is a great class; it is a shame that the fleet will be split among three organizations.
It would be great to see at least 10 boats racing against each other on a regular basis.

I'm sure you will see the SBI,and APBA boats running together at alot of the races. Why knows maybe even OSS will allow thier boat to run with other groups this year,4 races last year isn't going to cut it again.

There are 8 (eight) OSS races in 2005. and in 2004 We got paid at all of them instead of paying to race, that is why we switched plus more boats to race (7-8 oss boats in 2005 where are these other ones besides Shane?).........Let's not start picking on organizations again we all have our opinions......just like *******s everbody has one.
Mark M., Kermit is pissed they cut him out of the interveiw........maybe they did not want to see his body paint!

Frank is it maditory to have a canopy in SVL in SBI rules? Or can you still run a old F1 style boat? And I have not heard of any joint APBA/SBI races. Am I missing something

Mark don't forget about High Noon and possably Liquid Assets. That would make 8 boats for the first race and maybe more. I still cant imagine anyone building a $125,000 SVL and not race in the biggest fleet they can find. If all you are interested in is a trophy or a title you know where you should race. If its stickily a political issue then you have even bigger problems.
Dont be afraid of the competition!

So let me get this straight.......

Is it safe to say "Don't be afraid of the competition" was meant to be a parody on Shanes "Don't be scared of the White Boat"

But the 28' Bat Boat is not OSS legal?

I am wondering, who is really afraid of what?

Hmmmm..... who is afraid of what?

Candy,

There will be a canopied Laveycraft for next year as well. I think the guys that ran the F1 boat are getting a canopied version of it. I saw pics of it while in Key West. Should be a sweet ride.

SO Shame I mean Shane, Yes it is true that OSS will phase out the HP3 over the next 2 years. If you already own your motor you can run it for 2 more years with the HP3 specs if you want to rebuild it. If you are entering a new boat in SVL you must run the Merc.525 motor. This was voted on by everyone in are class. We weighed the pros and cons of having 2 different motors to police and made our decision based on some past experience. Factory racing fell apart with multiple motors and know there has been issues with super cat manufactures. If you would be interested in running with your Vortec I'm sure it would be good for the same 2 year rule.
Your best friend MD
PS this is only for the SVL class in OSS

Randy,
Yes u must have a canopy in SBI same rules as all the other groups.
I wouldn't count on Liquid Assets yet they have no intension of running Merc.
As for the schedule OSS had a full schedule for last year also and it didn't work out what make this year any different...just stating facts.
