Default Mercury 300x lowerunits

I have an Avance 33 with twin 300x's with sportmaster lower units. It does 70 mph I was wondering if I would change to fleetmaster lower units if I would gain a little on top since the boat should have more bow lift with the fleetmasters. Also does a longer bracket give you more mph than a shorter bracket? I think with the longer one you have more leverage to trim.

Welcome to the board

You may want to post your question in technical Q & A section. You'll probably get more responses.
