I actually didn't but MTI42 did and they said that they weren't interested in writing his MTI due to value and I know our new boats will be higher. Also, they have already denied me coverage once, in June, on a MTI with 575's and were talking 1075's so I doubt they want to write it.

Who were you getting quote through? I am afraid I am going to run into the same problem.

I think he knew Bacardi would have been a close race, and wasn't quite sure he could handle them.

Right now we are looking at the 44' MTI Stand up version. Our main factor is if we can get insured or not.

Good point. If I were on the throttles, I would have stuck 'em to the stops. On the other hand mabey good sense prevailed and the two "giants" didn't duke it out at 190+ mph on a very rough and busy stretch of lake. I don't know, I was not there at the time the video was shot.
I think Callan could get Bacardi, Bacardi did have a huge jump on Callan via the looks of the video so you would have to factor that in too.

On a different note Dank you and little g's boats are breathtaking! I spoke with little g's wife at Shooters on Sunday and I must say that MTI is worth leaving my wife for! Well not really but you know what I am saying. I am sorry I did not get the chance to speak with you but I am sure it would have been a good conversation. Beautiful boat man, beautiful!

You're right! It was rough, with traffic, and they would have hit some scary speeds with no choppers present...it's better they didn't....and, of course, Callan already had the trophy

It's just a "cryin shame" that next year when Scott takes back the trophy it won't be in a Skater
