Quite a few without power due to falling trees etc...:(
This is the second ice storm this year (2007) its crazy how much damage the trees can cause...maybe 10 days oe so before power is restored.

Sea-Dated 12-11-2007 07:34 AM

In Tulsa, I know I am without power and so is Masher, Have not heard form anyone else. Most of the hotels don't have power so there is no place to go. I got lucky and my dad went out of town and his place still has power so we are staying there until power comes back on.

They are saying it could be Sunday before power is restored to everyone in the city. I have never seen this many people without power before, it is awful. Sunday night we sat in the dark and watched transformers and sub-station blow like it was a lightning storm or something.

Freaky weather for "Global Warming"

P,
Do you have power at the club? Might need to make a trip over and check on the house.

Cash Bar 12-11-2007 10:47 AM

Be safe to all. And good luck. Sounds like hel to be going through this early in the winter.

jayhawk261 12-11-2007 11:31 AM

Here in Owasso, we had no power Sunday night. I came back on about 9:30 Monday morning. It then flickered throughout the day. It was steady last night though. We went out driving around yesterday to check things out. A lot of Broken Arrow is without power. People are hitting gas stations like mad. We saw lines everywhere.

JasonSmith 12-11-2007 12:07 PM

70* & rain in Dallas today. Sorry to rub it in. I drove down thru that sh*t Sunday night. Not fun. Good luck.

tomtbone1993 12-11-2007 12:11 PM

Let me know if you guys need anything. Tom

masher44 12-11-2007 03:45 PM

Our power in Tulsa just came back on. My office in Grove has power and it didnt hit there nearly as bad.

Spine Tingler 12-11-2007 06:28 PM

My neighbohood looks like Nam! Started at a Hotel early Monday after power going out about 5. Then got a call at work from Kelley and she said power was out there, my asst. called all over town and NO HOTELS, went to a friends who had power then at 2:30am woke up in the dark. Called my staff and cancelled the day. Finally the Marriot electricity came back up and we are in! I'm going to the bar! See you guys at the lake Thursday!

buck183 12-11-2007 08:37 PM

Eyezlee sent me some phone pics of his place in Broken Arrow. Looked like he had a tree on his house or partially on it. No power either. Staying with his wife's parents for now.

Hopefully the pad is OK. Still waiting to hear more from him.

A coule of my rentals look like a war zone. Trees down every where. Looks like MANY hours on the chainsaw in the near future. BUT no damage to the houses!! And the boat is nice in warm in the warehouse. Thats what matters right? Now if we could just figure a way for that Flordia thing.

Neighbors say it is pretty cold in our neighborhood. I wouldn't know since I have beeen staying at the lake. It's an extra 30 min. drive but worth it to have heat and lighting. Plus we have had dinner parties and drinking everynight, lots of fun but makes getting up ealier a little rough. Good times though.:D:D

37SR 12-12-2007 09:34 AM

Talked to my brother last night in Claremore, his block still has power but trees down everywhere. Every tree on his property lost the top half out of it or split down the middle of the trunk. Guess I shouldn't of told him I was sitting by the pool drinking a beer, 75 in southern Ark!:D I think I'm off the Christmas list now

Mac 12-12-2007 12:02 PM

Bartlesville survived pretty well, we never lost power at home or the office, a lot of the rural areas outside of town have no power and wont till next week. Nowata is basically in the dark

Prater 12-12-2007 01:31 PM

I have not had power since Monday at 1AM. Got the genset and fireplace to keep me company. My truck was pretty lucky, only a cracked windshield

WARPARTY36 12-13-2007 10:22 AM

Finally got power at the office late yesterday. After being here at 5 a.m. telling people sorry no power three days in a row, it's kind of nice to work again.

Sea-Dated 12-13-2007 12:24 PM

We got power last night and are very glad to be home. Don't even care that I have to go to my parents for internet until they get our cable back up.

Quinlan 12-13-2007 12:58 PM

back on the grid at 9am at office and noon today at the house. Lots of branches down but none on anything important.

formula 382 sr-1 12-13-2007 09:44 PM

I remember the ice storm we had here in 1996 work all day to get the lights on in the cold and still come home to a cold house and there was nothing you can do about it. I have worked ice storms from Maine to Ohio to South Carolina to Tennassee , not a lot of fun, hard work . Put wire up get the lights on and another tree falls and takes it back out :(. Hope it comes on soon.:D
