If you were an Oklahoma boat dealer representing cigarette, skater, donzi, fountain, outerlimits, sonic, nor-tech…(you get the idea)….you can’t get in. the show is owned by a handful of bowrider dealerships. This show is unlike any other show as it’s a select few display and not geared to offer people selection, only what the owners sell. (coc*block) these guys have found a way to restrict trade and control the area market. Think of it as a steak house with only one cut of beef. It’s still fun to go and see the formula’s and baja’s. the 496 is as big as it gets. Grab your buddies and head to dallas. Over.

Rusty Fleming wrote a great article this week in the Cronicle on the Tulsa boat show history, page A22. He said the boat show is owned by several people in or associated with the boat business. However, the names I read are not the same big dealers I think of at the show??
