To do the poker run you need to be a member, but the run is cheaper than most so even with the $50.00 first year membership it is still a better deal than most poker runs. This is only one of many trips the club does each year
Spring Poker Run out of Monroe
Summer one is Put In Bay
Fall one out of Ford Yacht Club on Grosse Isle
Labor Day trip to Kelly's Island with Golf Cart Poker run
They have a Put In Bay party in mid may
and a few other parties and fun runs throughout the year.
Most of the club sleep aboard their boats(except Express Cat he's fussy ) Since a lot of the runs are out of the small yacht clubs we get the docking free, we also drink in the yacht clubs bars which is always real cheap. For example the Spring Poker run was about $25.00 (for2) which included 2 nights dockage & lunch, there was an optional pig roast for about $20.00 a person.
If you are a southern lake Erie boater, and like to boat with a group, I can not recomend this club enough. Unfortunately not to many of the members are big on the boating websites so I think people don't know much or hear about LEOPA.
If you have more quetions, PM me your phone and I will be happy to give you a call

ALL IN - pretty much the same concept as the bike poker runs. not really a race but we do have our share of hard chargers in the group and this pokerrun is certain to bring out the big guns. seems like about a third of the group is in the 70mph an up club and run there stuff acordingly. the rest (thats where im at ) cruise the run in the 50's-60's or so. its a great time and the best group for sure. hope you can make it out
