To all in this forum: THANKS
I would like to express my gratitude and enjoyment from reading the posts in this forum. While I live in Tampa now, I grew up on the chain (McHenry) and spent endless hours boating there. Years ago I owned a SleekCraft dealership in Fox Lake and was fairly successful in that business. We sold a ton of boats and made some longlasting friendships with people that I talk with to this day.
I come up to visit family once a year in the summer and always manage to spend either a Saturday or Sunday on the water. I am totally blown away by the hardware running around there now compared to what it used to be. When we first moved to McHenry back in 1970, if you had a Century Coronado you were king sh*t. By the time I grew up and really got into performance boating the hot ticket was a SwitzerCraft outboard. When we got into actually selling boats, the Sleek Ambasador 26 was very popular. How times have changed! My brother was having lunch at Vicki's in McHenry during the river shiver. He called me to tell me about some of the boats that were running the event. It sounds like now its gotten to the point were there is some really highend stuff running around. Pretty Cool! If anyone can post some pics or a video of Sunday I for one would REALLY enjoy seeing them. Thanks again everyone!
