I guess we need to get back to the reason for this thread ,,,, I just recieved my Poker Runs mag and they have the LEOPA run the same day as Smoke,,,, I guess the date will be changed at the Meeting on Wed ,, that I cant make!!

RHC, the other way to look at it is SOTW will have to change their date.

I have talked to some very important people that have indicated they would like to go back to PIB for the run,,, that was not my choice,, 
,, I ask them to please move the run back to Monroe Boat Club,,,, and gave my reasons ,,, better dockage,, better food ,,, better bar,,,, and great to-gether ness,,,, wellllll ,,,, they still wanted to go to the Bay,,Bar,,,, So ,,, I got to thinking ,,, why not start from Monroe ,,, do the Fri nite deal,,, Leave for Kellys,, on Sat am ,,, then go to the Bay,,, overnite there,, and go back to Monroe on Sun am for awards and Buffet!!!! Great idea,, rite ,,rite,,,, 
---- any other thoughts???

I think it was time to change the run for sure (same ol thing) dont get me wrong it was GREAT but it's time to move forward. I thought the docking was great, food & togetherness well ...I agree with Rodger. What do you think about having breakfast, dinner/party and awards at one of the bars? That way people wouldnt be so spread out. The run out of monroe took time to perfect so let's let them work the bugs out.

Greg,,, dont get me wrong,,,, I will drink the cool-aid,,, I guess I just want it to be a differant flavor!!!!! Yeah,, it would be good to have a common meeting place,,,, It might even be good to use the Yacht Club if it could be worked out,,,, I dont know about the Logistics at the Bay,,, I just think that it was pretty spread out last year!!!
Lord knows it is not easy to get 50 type A 's ot agree on anything ,,,

The Smoke dates are July 13-14 .... Sounds like LEOPA is gonna be beginning of August this year ???? Right ? Regardless ... you are only talkin about a couple boats that would cause a conflict for anywho .... The Bay was great ... Just need to have something to keep us together for part of the time .... Breakfast place .... Dinner / awards place .... ect .... I know where I'll be Sunday at 1 !

Oh , and BTW .... I'm not leading to the first stop AGAIN this year .... Mr. Burtscher needs to get his sheet together on the GPS coordinates .... or else we'll get Bernie to do the drivers meeting !?!?!?!

May I suggest the covered pavillion at The Crew's Nest. It is large with lots of tables. They can cater, we can cook, you can have your own cooler etc. The pool is right there, nice open grass area, quality rest rooms and downtown is a short walk.
