Cool Re: Leopa 2007 Summer Poker Run???

[QUOTE=The Menace;2016274]Give me coordinates and I promise you will not have to follow any glad'e'ate'ers. In fact I only remember one being in front of me for a very short period time.

I wish somebody else would get out in front. I would follow them too..... It gets lonely out there......

I believe that the togetherness issue was a huge problem and has been or will be corrected for this years run.

I will be at the meeting and will voice the togetherness concerns as far as the Monroe issue sorry Rodger your on your own Too many folks want something different, give it a couple years and it will come back around. I can say one thing when were at Monroe it's a huge coordinated event with the club and their members giving up docks for the weekend. I doubt they would give them up and then loose the cash flow from LEOPA.
Sounds to me like the plans are already made!! I think I will join "Moonwalker" ,,,,, I am out !!

August 10 -12 at P.I.B.

Sounds like a another good time ahead ... And .... Isn't this the "old" poker run date we used to use ???

BTW .... I flew back from the Keys just to make this meeting .... but went to the wrong place .... must not have gotten the e-mail about the change ... but I was able to be on a conference call with Dan Burtscher during the meeting and .... Oh never mind !

What's wrong with lemonade? Just as long as it's not Kool-Aide

O.k. A date was voted in for the main run. This was not my first choice and I let it be known but I was not the majority. Some other event ideas were thrown around Hazards being one of them. A lot will be done to change the Poker Run and to bring back the togetherness. Rocky will no longer write up the events the job was handed over to Half Nuts. The books have changed hands and all the events have been discussed including dates and locations.
This meeting had a large turnout so it was not just a couple of guys pushing events through for their own convenience.

PLEASE call with your Poker Run suggestions the only thing finalized is the date and giving the Bay a second chance. If you have tents, cooks, meals or anything that can contribute please call Joe P and discuss it with him. They do need your help in anyway possible so make the call with your contribution or join the Poker run Committee. This is you chance to help make it a great event!

O.K. Rodger this went over my head what the heck was the "Moonwalking" comment?????? and why are you stamping your feet? Because of the date or because it wont be at Monroe? Give it another year! Take a deep breath it will be O.K.

Thanks Scott, that date should work well for us and I am glad it does not conflict with the St Clair Offshore Race.

I called Phil and he said it is pretty much a done deal and Put In Bay will be the location. They have several options for a Friday and Saturday gathering. I also did a little investigation and found out that the Crews Nest Pavillian is available on Friday night (not Saturday) so they are going to check into that as well. At first I wanted to go back to Monroe, but the more I think about it, I think this will be more fun
