I'll be out both days this weekend!

Ms PatriYacht 06-14-2007 02:13 PM

Ian will probably log more hours in the boat this weekend than all you guys put together

That is if hours spent in the engine compartment while the boat sits in our driveway count. Just our luck this has to be one of the nicest Junes on record and we are not ready yet:(

I live closer to Waterford than White Lake.
I'm usually in the moot, mac&rays, Jack's or Brown's.
Party in the moot, brown's for a burger is pretty typical.

Here's a pic of us on the fork lift at Beacon Cove. The boat proved to be to heavy and broke the lifts chain. They kicked us out of rack storage and we're in a well now.

That's crazy! they rack 42 Fountains @ Sassy, they used to rack the 42's with trips, but those were too heavy.
We're on I dock @ Beacon Cove.
Nice boat BTW.:drink:

Interceptor 06-15-2007 11:57 AM

I probably own the heaviest 32' Fountain made. 8,700 lbs dry plus 220 gal gas equals about 10,200 lbs.
I was going to move to rack at Anchor Bay marina but the cost and additional driving time changed my mind.
Beacon Cove is planning to add a few hydro-hoists on some of the wells near the entrance. I may get one of them if the costs are reasonable.

For the boats maybe but what about the livers?! The Girl's Gone Wild bus is already in town and should be a crazy time. Not sure if I'll be in town and able to take the day off but if I'm here you can bet I'll be at Jobbie! (as a boatwhore of course...)

sleepy_pirate 06-19-2007 10:36 AM

Im heading to home depot right now for material to make the king of all beer bongs. 10' of 1.25" clear tubing, a valve and a funnel big enough to hold a 6 pack.

you got the color right on, are you building that?

We are still not boating, not even sure we will be ready this weekend. Among other things Ian bought larger exhausts this year and when he installed them tonight there was a slight gap in gaskets on the trim rings, so he has to call Trick in the morning, to see what our options are. We can't take it out like that and have it leak. Plus there are still a lot more projects left. I think he has taken every single piece off the engine, and bought new or checked it out before putting it back on. I am not kidding when I say he is in the boat working at least 45 hrs a week and that is after working 55 hours at GM:eek: To fill my time I have turned into a Landscape fanatic. I just finished moving a 30 ft woodpile and increasing our gardens by about 45' Our neigbors can't believe that we can not stop working, they think we are sick:D Several passed by on their way to a party last Friday, Ian was in the bilge covered in fiberglass from fixing the transom and I was standing in the bed of the truck unloading 2 yards of mulch. Ok thanks for letting me rant:D :D

No, Seaquest kid's http://www.seaquestkids.org/ were in St.Clair last year, they are a great bunch of people that travel to many race sites and basically provide all the directions, materials, wood, hammers, nails, 3M 5200  screws, paint etc etc, to build these skiffs, then they raced them on the Pine River. It was a great experience for my 7 yr old daughter, now I'm not so nervous when I see her with tools in her hands.:D
She'll have her boat in St.Clair this year to defend the Konrad title, she's been busy over the winter blueprinting the bottom and coating it with speed wax.:evilb: :D
