Rack Storage Option

This sounds like an interesting option vs rack storage. I used rack storage in GH last year and my boat was scuffed up more than I thought was reasonable (nothing completely through the gel coat but deep scratches near the bow, they consistently hit the same areas). So far this year I have not paid for rack storage (I have had a hard time paying $1700 for someone to beat up my boat)... Do others experience this type of treatment of their toys in rack storage... or am I just lucky?

I have been at Grand Valley Marine now Skipper Buds for 15+ years and Jeff Noel the former owner still works their is an awesome guy. They have never put a mark on my two boats I have had their over the years. My 27 ft cost $1200 for summer in/out. I hate to leave but I am going to do Lake Effect this year. I have been boating for 25 years every weekend in GH and this summer the family wants to do some other things so I probably won't use the boat as much.

I have never had a problem with Great Lakes up in Muskegon. The past 3 summers, the in/out service up there has been fantastic.

Jeremy,

I am 99% sure I going to try Lake Effect. I was wondering if you use the boat launch by the warehouse or take your boat to the GH Municipal launch. Is the warehouse launch deep enough? What's your opinion? Hopefully I see you out there soon. Thanks! Chris

Chris

There was a dredger there this year and i think thaey made it deeper but the ramp is really STEEP. I also think with my tri axle trailer that it might fall off the end. I just hook up tow the mile to municipal and launch there.
