Hot Boat at Hardy

We will be up wend. night or Thurs. morning. We have allot of people in the group but they are bringing dingy's, cruisers and pontoons. They just come for the nekked girls.:evilb:

I know Kamma (mark) said maybe and magic medicine and crew will be up. I am sure smitty, the wife and baja will be getting all of us in trouble :ernaehrung004: I assume the usual HTM, Velocity, and Checkmate crews will be in full force.

Who else is coming to the pond?

KAAMA 08-20-2008 11:28 AM

We plan on being there with the KAAMA AT Todd----and I am pretty sure "Tibbsboy" with his 32' AT, and my cousin with his 32' Baja, "WetVette"/Craig and some of his crew will be there as well. There might be a couple other boats from St. Joe and Indiana I know that may be coming as well. I talked to Smitty/"Articfriends" he said he will be there. Looking forward to it!

Dreamer1q 08-20-2008 11:42 AM

We will be there on Friday if all goes well. Plan on spending two nights in the cove and doing everything I can to feel like crap on Sunday. Buddy of mine is bringing his open bow, and we will have a Jetski as a taxi.

Was thinking of putting together a floating boxing ring nad getting oversized boxing gloves to have some fun out there with the drunks.

baronmarine 08-20-2008 11:46 AM

nothing like rushing the end of summer. i got some bad news a couple of weeks ago about that weekend. mrs baron was a wedding shower that weekend and can't go. hmmm wait a minute that means no women on the boat. i'm in. the gun well be loaded.
todd

btw:mark / kamma saw one of your work trucks out by my house a couple of weeks ago.

Todd Hartigh 08-20-2008 12:02 PM

oops! Just noticed the kaama spelling:eek:

Todd, That may be a good thing! The first time my wife went was the first year the cove went crazy. I kept telling her that she would not want to go since it is just a bunch of guys talking boats and motors. As we rolled into the cove, two naked girls were trying to mimic the number 69 on a house boat roof, a girl rode by on a sea doo naked, and several boobs were playing peek-a-boo. Luckily she is a fun girl and laughed about it saying sure...just a bunch of guys...right...

Dreamer, the boxing would be funny. Some guys did that at hanky a couple years ago. they had one of the floating family rooms as the ring. Great entertainment!

One of the best things is to find the big round floating ball that you get inside of, kinda like a hamster ball. Then squirt a half bottle of baby oil in and release the girls.:evilb:

Dreamer1q 08-20-2008 12:42 PM

Yes, this will be a very fun year !!!! I definetly want to get tied up with you guys this year. My boat friends are realitvely few, so help a brother out!

Todd, might have been me or one of my techs.

I enjoy seeing all the boating hardware, watching them run, talking to folks and then sitting around the campfire, burgers off the grill and chatting about the events at the end of the day.

I hope you'll be able to make it. One of my buds that may showing up with me might be bringing his mostly red 38' Cig TG up to Hardy, but not definate yet. (Supercharged Donvans, staggered, boxes, SSM#5's)

Depends on which one.....there were two of us out there. The two tone blue one and my white one. Funny thing is, that blue one was what mine looked like when I bought it prior to paint.

But yes, I was on the beach Saturday.

Todd Hartigh 08-20-2008 02:23 PM

Rookie, I will chat with you this weekend about it. So far it looks like thurs. morning (early). You better get fri. off. As of now We are getting 4 camp spots. You fill fit on one of them or just sleep on the boat and throw your stuff on our site.

Dreamer, no problem! send me an e-mail:
[email protected]

Was that you guys that I passed in the river sat.? I had the checkered boat.

32fever 08-20-2008 02:32 PM

When is it, Todd? I looked earlier and know I can't make it Sat, but is there still activity on Sunday? What weekend is it? Is there a site with info anywhere?

Todd Hartigh 08-20-2008 04:48 PM

Magic, we will be sure to look for you guys in the evening. If it rains I am sure we will drink many of beers like last year! :grinser010:

32fever, like todd said, the weekend of 5th, 6th, and 7th. Friday most are just getting in, Saturday is the big day at the cove. Allot of people leave sunday but it is still a pretty fun day.

KAAMA 08-20-2008 08:25 PM

Yeah, it's Doug's boat. :D

C'mon up Mark/32fever...I also invited Steve aka Rampage from Niles.

Chicken,
We will be in a 35' 5th wheel camper so we will be out in the field I imagine! Hopefully it won't rain and I know there will be plenty of cold ones flowing:drink::ernaehrung004:

Flamingo 42 08-20-2008 08:42 PM

Yes that was me, I was out on the lake a couple hours earlier and it was kinda rough. A little to rough to work out the kinks with my new power. (dam fuel pumps)

Chicken, What ya doin this weekend.........? I need to switch those drives back to spinning out. I never ran it in any rough water last year and it CAN NOT carry the bow through the waves. In calm water its not bad. (another 10 min drive change)

An all white libby with a white fairing? were you in Hank Sunday?? If so I think Todd H and I were trying to figure out what type of boat that was. I parked next to the bluish-teal libby Saturday around 6 when JimV and I took his Fountain up to Muskegon. Stop and introduce yourself if you see Todd or I. I have an all white Scarab Panther and Chicken has the white with black checkered Advantage.

Todd Hartigh 08-20-2008 10:07 PM

Rookie, you want to do the drives sat.morning at the house?

Flamingo, brower park (mecasta county park) is nice and it is between the main party spot (consumers beach) and the sand bar. The lauch is decent and plenty of 38'+ boats launch from there.

I'm more hoping I can be the oil boy for all the woman!

Perfectmix 08-21-2008 08:25 AM

I'll be there Friday afternoon. I have a slip reserved at River Ridge any one know the deal with this place? Is it alright? We have about 4 boats in the group. This is the first time for me and I only live an hour away. Can't wait

Dreamer1q 08-21-2008 08:29 AM

Will do, I will start watching for you guys now that I know what boats your in.

I was 3 or 4 boats toward the pier from that blue Lib on Saturday.

mix: river ridge is the nicest place on the river. but you well not be able to lauch that 38 there. but brower park is only a couple of miles down the river, and maybe 5 miles by car.

see you there

Thats what I am thinking, that will be a tight fit.

Not only is manuvering in a tight spot a problem, but the ramp is WAY too short as well (last I knew)! I have heard of several boats launching there and having to call a wrecker/tow truck because the trailer wheels went over the ramp's edge------And the owner/management of the place still doesn't even have any kind of warning sign posted. I've heard this has been going on for the last several years---not good!

32fever 08-21-2008 02:41 PM

Mark/Kaama,
I EM River Ridge to see if we could get anything there. I'm not a roughing it guy. It's bad enough with no shore power, I can't run my a/c/heat. WAAAAHHHHH.

I launched our 32 Fountain there before, but it looks like we won't be able to launch the 37? We'd rather overnight it with the OL. I can't beach the Fountain at Brower, because the bildge pumps will run all night long cause it's already half sunk sitting level.

I know they have a nice slip/docking arrangement there at River Ridge which would be a nice place/option for your boat at night if you want. However, you can still launch your 37' OL at Brower Park---I've seen 40+ foot boats launch there before. I just beached my boat and spent the night there last year. I'll send you an email.

Dreamer1q 08-22-2008 10:38 AM

Just booked my site at Oxbow. They are out of slips right now too. And only had 3 sites left if you are looking for one.

I remember the plane, the guy came down almost on top of me at one point. I felt the prop wash in the air when he went over, seriously.
