Is Sandy kid friendly ,can you beach the boat or do you have to anchor ?? We usually go to Grenadier as its kid friendly and easy to raft / walk around .. Potters is a bit of a pain with the east wind coming in off the 40 Acres ..

Any body on the 1000 island power boat club ???

The president of the club was I believe Mark Hodge from Governeur. As far as big sandy, you will have the same wind issues there, you can beach it if not windy.Kid friendly when I was there

Hey "T Islands"!, great to hear from ya!, Grindstone Island isn't far from me at all!, if you guys are talking about "Big Sandy Bay", its at the head of Wolfe Island, very sandy, and was kid friendly, alot easier to get to by boat, in the summer if you walk in, you have to pay, but, can anchor there for free, nice quiet spot most days, faces the lake, nice view.

If there was a 1000 Islands power boat club, I would glad join up!

Been boating up on the river for over 10 years, mostly weekends.

I live in Ct and drive the 300 miles most weekends because it is worth it.

Dodge Bay is another shallow bay where people are dropping anchor and having a good time.

Mike, I will come looking for you this summer as you are right across the river from me.

That's the truth. I believe we know each other, I worked for your parents a couple years ago, and we have place a couple houses down on on Steele's point.

Man I thought I was the only crazy one driving all the way up there from CT! We are usually anywhere from Kingston to Ogdensburg but home base is the Morristown area. Grenadier Central, Big Sandy, Potters, Canoe Pt are all great places drop anchor. Tim how's everything going?

I remember meeting you. We were looking at my boat after I pulled it for the weekend.

See you this summer...
