Hey Everyone
We have been boating near our family Cottage on Wolfe Island for nearly 40 years, this year we will have our first "real" performance boat, things sure have changed in that area in the last while, was wondering if anyone else on this board does any boating in that area? [St. Lawrence River]. We are on the South shore, not far from Clayton, NY, and Cape Vincent, NY, would LOVE to hear from fellow boaters who have boated in that area who know of hot spots, fuel docks, restaurants, or just want to chat about the area and/or boating in general. Looking forward to hearing from everyone and would like to extend my best wishes for a safe and Happy Christmas Season!

Hi Michael: My home port is on Wellesly Isl. Hot spots are Lake of the Isls., Picton Isl beach, or Potters beach. And as always A-Bay has something going on . nice to here from others on the big river. PJ

Hello There!!
I beleive you are only about 10 mins or so East of me, we are at the South/East end of Wolfe Island, have taken some day trips to Big Sandy Bay at the Head of Wolfe Island, nice place and occasionally head to Grindstone Island where there is a nice beach, Great to hear from a local neighbour, please stay in touch!

Hey man, I'm down river a good bit, but love to see new places on the river. I'll be up there @ least twice next summer for a week or so per visit. I usually do the Alex Bay poker run in June; in fact we won it in 07' and had a real blast! I would love to get up your way and see that area more. give me a call in june or 1st week in August for the 1000Islands poker run, we can do some boating.
Regards,
Chris

The Islands is an awesome place for boating. You can explore all summer and never see the same place twice.Get yourself a chart though, there are many dangerous areas. If you choose to visit A-bay you better behave,Its swarmed with water cops and they are all trying to justify there existence.

Seems like most other areas have a "power boat club " and they do fun runs etc ....I usually just tour around but organized / gatherings would be fun ............never been out to big sand bay ...is that facing the lake ??
