I noticed your other post regarding smaller outboard boats for skiing.
The best boat I ever ski'd behind was my 84 baja with a 200 merc. Had a removable ski pylon (not up in the pic).
That boat at 32-34mph put out about a 4" wake! You can pull full strength across the center with barely a stutter of the ski.
I've skii'd behind nautiques, prostars, etc... never had a nicer pull then that little baja.
However, not kid or family friendly! Not much room, hard to get in and out of etc. etc.
