I was waiting on Saturday to see the boats go down the Detroit River, to Lake Erie but didn't see any, I thought that I had missed them and then I was waiting to see the boats come back and didn't see any again, except for a couple of nice Baja coming up the Detroit River. I thought that maybe the weather had something to do with it. How many boats showed up for the Fun Run.

We got a really late start so most stayed at "The Moot" we had 4 run to the Ambassador Bridge and then back to St.Clair...Next year you'll get to see a bunch run to Lake Erie unless we have similar breakdowns again...We spent 5hrs getting boats going again on Saturday morning, so most everyone could run some during the day...Sorry we didn't put on a great show for you, but hopefully next year..

There is no doubt, that if you didn't have the break downs I would of seen a great show. Like you said, next year.

I was at Jobbie on Friday, actually ended up tied up about 6 boats to to your right (Irish) and 1 row in front. I planned on making my way over to you guys, but one thing (beer) led to another, next thing I knew you guys were pulling out. I have a pic from my Black Berry of you guys tied up I will try and post tomorrow.
Must have been a bad weekend for boats. I had to nurse mine all the way from Wyandotte out to Gull and back. Got a "low Block pressure" alarm 3 miles after we put it in the water...... But I kept it under 3500 most of the day and was fine. It went off every now and then, brought it down off of plane (1000 RPM) the alarm would stop and we were back on our way. But it was tough planing off with 6 people (4 guys and 2 girls) 2 full coolers, and a full tank of gas with a single 496 not being able to get it over 3500 RPM...........It was worth it! I wish I had my way over to you guys to meet you all in person....

I know how it feels to limp myself. About a mile from Jobbie my port engine over heated and shut down. My raw water pump sized and tossed the belts as well. Got towed to Jobbie thinking I had cooked an engine.
Ended up getting it started so I could get the boat on plane then shut it down and run back to the marina on one engine. I was the one that held everyone up on saturday getting a new pump and belts on.
