Default Scarab Sprint

Hi all!! I am looking to get a new boat and I saw a picture of the Scarab Sprint. This is exactly what I am looking for, small and reliable. However I am having a hard time finding information on them. What years they were made? And why are there so few for sale?? Any leads??

Thanks!!

The Sprint was an 18 footer from 1994 - 1996 and was a 19 footer 1997-1998. I am guessing they are actually the same size..... The 1997-1998 is counting the molded in swim platform....

Being they were only manufactured for 5 years probably has a lot to do with limited numbers....

You might want to look towards the Scarab 21s and 22s. These can befound with 350s and 454s. And they move out pretty good. I loved my 89 Scarab 21. At almost any given time you can find at least 1 or 2 up for sale on ebay.

Awesome thanks for the info. I was looking at the Sprint because it wouldn't be too much weight for my truck to tow. And it has the "Scarab" name and they look sweet. Are the Scarab 21 and 22 over 3000 pounds trailer weight? I just have a small toyota tacoma truck, but it can pull about 3000 pounds with about 400 pounds of tongue weight. Are the scarab 21's too heavy???

I used to pull my Scarab Excel 21 with an S-10 2wd w/ 4.3L, with no problems. Only problem I ever really encountered was at a very steep boat ramp, being a pick up there isn't any weight over the rear axle so a couple friends jumped in the back and I was able to pull the baot up the ramp...
