ya they were all fired up. That's funny reading your posts on here, I have a place right up by both of you guys, north of Dingmans on 612 just west of Sunset Trail, I'm up there quite often too.

I think he knows that launch, it really is a bad launch!
The nicest launch for you go large fast guys is Torch Lake Mi north west side. quiet for the most part. :party-smiley-004:

The launch at the day park can't handle much larger than a 35. My parents are 3 houses north of the launch, and we had my buddy's 35 Fountain up last year and we were able to float it on and off. We were also there when the 43 Nortech w/ triple 525's launched and it wasn't pretty, but they got it off. The launch needs some TLC as it is getting pretty beat up so be careful. I sent a guy to Luhrs after hearing they handle the Skater that was out last 4th.

Yes. There has been a ramp there for 2 years now. I never use it for my boat. It tends to be busy and very tight to turn around in. No way I can do it launching a 31 footer on the back of a crew cab super duty.

And of course the well known "Sand Bar" hang out on Torch Lake...

By the way, does anyone know if they have a dock at this launching site now? Also, how long of a boat/trailer will this launch ramp accomodate?

I use the DNR ramp on the east side of Torch River half way to the lake from Luhr's. I have absolutely no problems with that launch. Drives up and stay in the center. I have used Luhr's many times in the past for my 26 foot Powerquest but not for the Scarab. Luhr"s has one of the nicer ramps but unless he has changed things around it can be tough to turn around at for longer boats. Anyway you look at it though I will be on Torch Lake the week of the 4th.

Where there's a will there's a way... pay the 40 to launch in the marina if you have to, if you want on the lake you'll get on it. I'll be out on the 4th as well, gona be a great time rain or shine!

Was out on torch lake this weekend, went to the sand bar and wound up sucking up a bunch of sand at the sand bar (crappy low water p/u) and had to get towed in. I saw a bunch of offshore boats near the sand bar so i figured I'd be. Other than that it was a great day out there it is such a cool lake!!
