Default hello all! New Member S. WI

Great site! Lots of good info. Been away from boating for a while and this year bought a nice Crownline 225CCR with a Whippled 7.4 MAG B1, heads have been machined with larger Enkinall (sp) exhuast valves, bigger springs, and bench flowed. I boat in the Madison, LK WI, Castle RK area. Love the boat and am hoping to see some better speeds by the end of the summer, 65 GPS so far but boat has done 74 GPS with last owner. Its got a 27P 3blade and ( I think) 1.36 gearing, boat can be a handfull in big chop at high speeds, I know its a shorter boat and not a speed designed hull but would like input on getting on plane better and better rough water control, boat has no trim tabs, I think thats my next move?

Hey! Welcome to the fold! Sounds like that boat would be a REAL handful in choppy water, I would definately look at a set of good K planes, they DO make a difference

Thanks for the welcome guys, where is a good place online to find kplanes? What size would suit my boat? This weekend I was hitting a consistant 65 with 6 adults, 2 coolers(full), and 45-50 gallons, I know there is more in this thing when its empty but thats when it gets a little white knuckle!
