For your size boat, it's a pretty easy channel. The launch is on Dunkley ave that is just off Broadway.

Keep an eye on the weather, calling for big waves Friday and Saturday. I'll be going out if the weather (waves) cooperate. Looks like Sunday if I'm lucky.

12-16 foot is the offshore forecast for Friday night! Yeeehaw!

South Haven is AWESOME. Good bars, good food...good bars...

Launch ramp can get a bit hairy if the current is running on the Black River...

Friday night calling for 10-15 footers from the west, South municipal marina will be a challenge just to keep the boat tied. It rocks in there with just 6 footers on the water.

Captain Lou's next to the draw bridge has good food & drinks. South Haven is one of our favorite harbors.

This post is way late but, for the most part I have found all the launch ramps at the city boat launch in down town South Haven to be adequate for for my 32 AT and have seen 38' foot boats launch from there as well. The current is usually very very slow and NOT much of a concern MOST of the time. South Haven is one of Michigan's COZY little town's on Lake Michigan. Hope you had fun.
