It's re-opening as Diablo Cantina. Looks like the remodel is nearly done (it's 2 blocks down 11 mile from me).

Apparently Memphis Smoke wasn't making money and had to go out of business. I don't get it as they were pretty busy (especially when the deck was open) and charged a ton.

So Jack's is now Brownie's? I heard commercials for Brownie's and was wondering where it was.

We tried the new Brownies today, many of the same issues as Jacks had. Very slow food service about 1-1/2 hr wait for a Brownie burger, but unlike Jacks when it came it was good. I hope it was the fact that they just opened this weekend. At least thats what two of the managers told us. I want to hold the OLD SCHOOL REUNION there again but I think I will wait till July so all the bugs are worked out.

-----Stretch it as far as you can, Mark! Hopefully the Fino will be done. Todd and Paul really want to show it off (as do I)......Bill S

We went to Brownies today. Place was packed. Had to wait about 15 minutes for a table. Food was good not great. Service sucked. I know it just opened, but, normally you would overstaff to begin then weed out the bad seeds as you adjust to traffic. Either way, it's good to have another option on the water, probably go back in a month or two and see if its improved.
