I need some coordinates or maps or something of how to get to the state dock from there. Any danger areas? Sandbars, Rocks, etc...? Yes, i have a gps so that will be helpful, just looking for a basic idea of where to go once on the lake. Thanks in advance.
Make sure you get an over night pass for Bolles as they where ticketing over the summer. Head out of Bolles and stay in the channel markers, once out of channel markers set your waypoint to the south side of west sister island and then head to PIB from there. As you approach PIB stay south of Rattlesnake island and head between middle bass and pib turning into perry monument just after the little island with the OSU buildings on it. Follow the no wake zone into the public docks east of the boardwalk and you should be good to go.

Sure did. No big deal as I had hoped for. Sure was some fun water coming back though (especially with a bunch of hungover passengers). Good 3-4's I would say.

I went for the day on Sunday the 25th. THere was very little wind, but someone forgot to tell Lake Erie that. The ride to and from was pretty rough. As a matter of fact I completly lost a trim tab. Not sure if I struck something or if it was a freak landing, but on it's way off the boat it took out a good chunk of my swim platform........ Needless to say that was my last trip for the season as the boat is now in the shop for repairs.............
