The short answer to your original question...
HE!! NO! It's not too early. My thermometer read Summer.
Ha... just noticed the dog on the hatch in your photos.
Great time w/you guys yesterday:) Your wife is a sweetheart. Becky really likes her. We'll have to do it again.

Likewise, we had a great day. Ann was passed out as soon as we got on the boat. I had to wake her up at the ramp. :lolhit:

Here's a little photoshop work on those pics, I suck at manipulating PS, but it lightened up a little...

how about a light bulb in the engine compartment on a cold night is that enough this time of year?

the light bulb trick only has energy enought to take the moisture out not keep anything above a freezinbg point.
Besides salt water is not ice even at 30 degrees.

If outdoors put 3 or 4 in there! My boat is in a unheated garage but it's always about 10* warmer in there since there is living area attached to, and above it. I will be watching things very closely if we get a cold spell though. Today should shatter another record high. That's 3 in a row!!

Been out three times now. Im up to about 10 hours on the motor so far. Been running all over the Lake St Clair. Mostly out at Gull Island though. I will have some good action pics here soon, gotta take them off my buddies camera.

It's nice to see everyone get out and enjoy this crazy spring. I would of tried like heck to make it to buckeye ocean or even Erie for St Pattys Day, but go figure the time I tell the upholstery guy to take his time he does. Boat won't be done til 1st of April, which isn't bad but it sure would be nice to have it in the driveway so that I can get her prep'd.

Not too soon, I ran from Avon Lake ramp to Rocky River Wensday. Nice shakedown cruise then tucked her away into heated garage. Guy running Avon Lake ramp was funny he just kept telling me ramp was closed, no docks in yet. I did the old push off and jump on bow trick. Calmest I've ever been on lake
