Very sorry to here that, I have been very worried about my drive. It has been on the boat for over ten years. I put a larger engine in last year,I've had my fingers crossed that it will make it through the season. But I have really been easy on it, I think I have only run it hard three times. Once for helicopter photos, and twice testing props. Just want to make it through the rest of this summer, save some money up and get it to Mr.Gadgets this winter.

I will kep an eye out for you, I know your boat. If the weather holds out for Monday, We will be between the culvert and house, it's a little deeper in the bay. We normally don't tie up in the line. We will be tied up with a few other offshore boats.

Sounds good. I don't tie up in the rows either. I will probably anchor just south of the line.

It is my first one since I put the 598's in so not to bad. It does not help having the 5 blades on it.
Ten years with all the different motors that is great. Looks like some one knows how to trottle.

I think it's more being lucky, a 598 is what I built for my boat also. The torque this engine makes over the 540 that was in it, is what worries me about the drive going boom. Back in 1999 we had a blown 540 in it. That thing made 941 HP@5800 & 900 TQ, on pump gas. Smoked three drives in 17 hours, kinda took the fun out of it for a while. Thank God for Boat US Towing, was almost $500.00 each time we would have had to pay if we would not have had that towing.

Hey Gary, I heard about your running Loto. Running good, good job. I talked to Frankie Monday about using one of his props to test, they are to small. Do you have a 27-15 3 blade I could try? My boat does not like a 4 blade, rides like **** in the rough with a 4 blade. Maybe we will see you this weekend.
