Welllll. We almost went out. Here's a recap of our boating in our Formula on the bay this weekend....
Launched at Elk Rapids Wednesday. Stayed in port until Saturday when it was absolutely perfect weather. Backed out of the slip and the damn port engine got stuck in reverse. Did a few circles, shut down port engine, limped back into the slip. Total engine hours, about .05.
There's always next year...!
Cheers

Man that stinks. We went out all day on Saturday and had a blast looking down into what has to be the clearest water on earth. Spent the night on the boat at Clinch after a few beers and some Blue Tractor for dinner. Sunday was so windy we decided to run over to Torch and check out the Sandbar. Great weekend other then the flat on the trailer.
Anyone want to go out in a few weeks for a Fall Color run?

Ain't that the truth! Damn Mercruisers anyway! I wonder if my mechanic can hang a pair of Volvo Penta Duo Props on the back and ditch the Bravo 3s...
It's being winterized now, but there is always next year.
As bummed as we are that we couldn't run the new boat, we still give thanks that we are able to afford it in the first place. I guess it is good to keep things in perspective; many folks can't afford a boat like that and many are way hard up financially, especially here in Michigan.
Cheers to all, enjoy the color runs this fall. The river routes around Torch and the Inland Route to Cheboygan must be wonderful to see.
