Has anyone used the Amish before to make covers..snap in carpet and re upholstery? I have heard they are great with cockpit covers and can do sunbrella and are inexpensive..I am in need of a new cockpit cover this year and want to redo the interior in the next few years..just curious what to expect as far as cost and if they do nice work especially with the bolster seats!

Talk to XT-INNOVATOR on here, he is usually in the Baja forum, his work is beyond amazing!

Amish build really nice furniture, not sure about upholstery?

We have used the amish to build our camper top a few years ago and another for the cockpit cover this year. Amazing quality at a substantialy cheaper price. We had both made from Top gun material and all stainless steel. You will not be disapointed.
Full camper top was 1350.00
Cock pit cover was 485.00

Awesome work. Try Sam and Aaron miller in Sullivan Ohio. These guys are brothers Sam does canvas and Aaron does upholstery! Both very, very cheap and some of the best work I have seen! If, you need the number just email me and I could give them to you.

I have local Amish do all my truck tarps and other heavy canvas work. They did a cockpit cover for my Cig a while back, I was amazed to see that it was multi layered with a rubberized material in the inside around all the wear points. Great canvas work, upholstry is a different story, at least in my neck of the woods. Leave that up to Dave and Lane at XT in Bucyrus.

Guys,
Here are the numbers to these guys. Again, I get nothing out of it. But, help you all out. These guys did great work and saved me at least $7500.00.

Sam Miller does canvas work his number is 419-651.8106
his brother lives next door and does uphostery Aaron Miller 419-651-5116

both are in sullivan, Ohio

Ok, here is the plan. It's the honor role plan. You split the money I saved you with the amish and send it my way for gas card. Just kidding! Good luck! Let us know how they do!

I have used Miller also. You need to tell him what you want in detail. Also do not expect a quick turn around time. The farm comes first then the canvas work. I loved the Top Gun material.

No worries on the turn around time..especially for the savings..Im being quoted $1000 for a cockpit cover in my area.. I am a Merchant Marine and go out to sea for 5 weeks at a time..I do hope he can get a cockpit cover done in that time I am away..plan to drop off the boat this spring before I head out for a hitch and pick up when i return!
