Default Motor or Recommended Engine Rebuilders - Michigan

Are there any motor rebuilders in eastern Michigan you would recommend?

I have 502 MPI's and planning ahead to see what my next move is. I have 300 hours...motors/engines in good shape, but I may want to be pre-emptive and get some work done.

Looking for the best shop or one you have used beofre and recommend.

Thanks!

North Bay Marine or Dynamic Marine, both located in Chesterfield and both are Excellent.

Dowker engines build some of the fastest sprint car engines period. Very good reputation. Mid Mi.

I'll have to check north bay or dynamic as I'm located right in chesterfield. I'd love the opportunity to add a bit of performance while doing a rebuild.

I have much to research and read on this topic as I'm a novice in the motor department.

Its a tough decision to pick a builder thats for sure!

Your engines might go 500+ hours without rebuild but if you want a little more power, and reliability you could freshen them.

Tyler Crocket
Jim Valeko
Dave Wesseldyk "WESCO"
C-Tech Performance
Sterling (very expensive but good and specialize in 700HP+)

I would NOT recommend CK Motorsports/Baker enginering

I would not go over 550hp on any bravo based drive. And don't plan to waste money upgrading drives, just sell your boat before you stick money into the engines and drives and buy something already done.

Lots of good builders here. I would scratch off T Crockett though.

Have been dealing with North Bay for years without a complaint. First class and top notch service. Dont use a car guy to build your motor.
