LEOPA's Thunderfest is going be out of Middle Bass Island on July 20th 2013. Stops to be announced.

Years ago a run was held out of ohio and the stops were Kelly's, PIB ( overnighter.....yeah thats right overnight on PIB dangerous) and cedar point. A run like this would be awesome.

I cant wate till there is a run around the island again. my older boat wasnt worthy of running one but was alway around when they pulled in to kelleys. now i think my new boat might be able to hold its own. well at least i hope :eek:

Looks like its time for me to renew my LEOPA membership. One thing to consider about the weekend of 7-20. Thats the same weekend as KI Island Fest and X-Mas in July at PIB, one of if not thee busiest weekends of the season for both islands.

Where did you see that Xmas in July is on the 20th, I would of figured it was going to be closer to the end of the month. I was going to skip out of Xmas to make it to boyne thunder and leopas's event but heck that would be awesome to hit boyne then tow down to erie for leopa and Xmas :santa:

What are some of the stops gonna be besides the Casino? What actually consists of the whole run? Never been to one before.

X-mas and Island Fest have pretty much always been the third weekend in July.

Summer of 2012 was the first one that I remember them being a weekend apart, not sure why that was...

Jimmy Buffet or something show on PIB caused all the dates to be off.

The run has not been set yet but it is close. The run will start in the morning at Middle Bass and will go to different stops. With lunch stop and ending with dinner at Middle Bass. Its going to be a great time you have the run.

can some one come as a gest to a member because im not looking to be one but relay would like to do the run. it would be my first run and with the new boat and even better should have good fresh motors this year.

if it's only 60.00 to join LEOPA then just join, not too big a deal compared to what we spend all summer boating...
