I heard the same thing, a buddy of mine in Kingston says another 8"
Or so and we are "normal"
Weird thing? All the "experts" I have talked to from the DFO, Environment Canada, etc STILL claim water levels are/will be lower than last year. Geez, there is STILL 40+CM of snow in places up North that hasn't even MELTED yet. Plus, I hear Michigan is getting hammered with rain/flooding.
Guess we will wait and see?
Thanks for the info guys!

Sounds like its coming up fast though 6" in 2 weeks is pretty good, hope it keeps climbing. More rain coming and still snow up North, hopefully we get levels back up to at least "average"

Has anyone been to downtown Toronto to see how we are doing there? I am on the fence about leaving the marina we are in because the channel to get out is so shallow. Hit a couple rocks last year trying to get out, and maybe bent the port prop shaft. Not really excited to find that one out.

Not sure about TO? Maybe call a couple of marinas or even the "water cops" and see what they think? I have heard Lake Ontario is getting close to average depth (and climbing) but if you can wait another week or two you should be ok since they are predicting lake levels will continue to rise.

Keep in mind that we are gauging the current level against predominate water lines made in the summer months. Traditionally the water level should be about a ft about summer level this time of year, yet it remains a ft below in the 1000 islands.
Both a few weeks of rain won't take care of however.

Unfortunately lake erie hasnt come up much yet.. maybe only a few inches from the low point, north shore.. still about at last summer's lows and my estimate at least 12-16" below last spring's peak level. Hoping it comes up 12" or more by peak (late may-mid june??) otherwise there will be serious issues in august if not sooner. Not looking good I hate to say. I dont know where all the snowpack in huron/superiour watershed is going?????? evaporating before it hits the lakes??? come on.
