Default A Perfect Day for Boating.

Went out for a cruise on Saturday the 28th of September with my nephew and his wife from B.C. We left Windsor, Ontario and travelled down the Detroit River on our way to Boblo Island and Crystal Bay. We pasted a group of 4 Offshores going up the Detroit River by Wyandotte, MI. We stopped at Crystal Bays and had something to eat and drink before heading back up the Detroit River. We pasted a beautiful Motor Yacht from Palm Beach Florida and a B-52 Bomber I think flew over and it was all stainless steal or polished aluminum, beautiful looking plane from the past. The weather couldn't have been any better and we all really enjoyed the day. Was surprised that I didn't see that many offshore out except for a 34 Slingshoot from Windsor and it looked like a 35 Fountain from the U.S. Its hard to believe that it was so nice Friday and Saturday and raining on Sunday, I guess I lucked out.

I have been itching to get out. But my work schedule along with the shorter days, means I am limited to weekends. My daughter has cheerleading on Saturdays, so that pretty much leave me with Sundays... And every Sunday since Labor Day has been awful. So I am happy I got out the Friday before my 2 week get-a-way last month. Looks like that might have been the last time for me this season. May have been the last time for me in the Velocity period... She is going up for sale, with hopes of selling her in the off season and replacing with a 32' - 36' Concept..........

Brad!

I was looking for you and was really surprised that there weren't that many boats out on a day like that. Good luck with the sale of your boat. Take Care Brad.

My wife was getting tired of me saying "Boy it sure would be a nice day out on the boat" while we watched my daughter's cheerleading / football game. But thats part of being a parent.....
