How about:
B - reak
O - ut
A - dditional
T - housand’s
?
The one good that I can see is:
When our junk breaks, most of us can at least take it home to do some/all of our work ourselves and/or w/help from friends.
When we were doing the cruiser at the marina thing....., you pay them and hope it’s right.
Even taking tools back/forth to do yourself, sucked.
Always need something you don’t have, plus blow your weekend doing it.
Makes me really appreciate having my junk in a barn behind the house.
Learned from the old man when he did it, you sign the service order Sunday before heading home, smile while handing them your Visa then drive home while not saying a word.
(hated those trips in the back of the Buick)

Last weekend in September, on Lake Erie and is gorgeous!
Heres sunset last night in front of the rental and sunrise this morning over the bay at the campground.
Check out the sail boat that spent last night on the hook.
What a night it would have been.
Business owners telling us this is their best season in 10yrs.
Couldn’t be happier for them!

And this morning.....
25+ mph wind and 5’ - 6’s.
Boats docked at Portside are getting hammered and did through night.
Ive got some video but don’t know how to load it.
Lots of 1/2 sea sick people sitting on backs of their boats wondering how the hell theyre going to get home!
The taller cruisers w/windage are fighting to get away from dock w/o taking out neighboring boats.
Welcome to the stormy mud puddle 😂

Working on your own is one thing, what really gets me is with cottagers that spend 2-3 hours driving to a cottage in traffic, spending all weekend cutting grass (b/c they wouldn't pay someone to) and then b*tching... Then come sept, complaining that summer is so short. A wise man once said, "we all make our own graves..."

I watched what looked to be a 32’ Sunsation leave the Casino yesterday and head straight into it.
Was off plane as far as I watched him.
A minute later what I think was a 42’ Cigarette ( seasonal dock at Seaway) came out of Seaway, also straight into it, but at 50 or so mph’s 😉
Quite the contrast to see.

Left PIB yesterday around 9:30 AM, went around the north side of the island, and encountered some sporty conditions. We were able to run at 25 - 30 MPH most of the way, but we did encounter a small stretch of open water where we were running around 15 mph. At that time there were very few boats out on the lake, only a few fisherman hanging close to shore.
