Congrats Matt! Looks a LOT like the boat that a friend of mine used to have up here in Chi-town. Took a ride on it in some NASTY big Lake Michigan waves one day, and that hull killed it!

Thanks guys. Can't wait to get out there and bring her home. March and April are very busy months for us.

Prostock, I will look and let you know.

Well its a done deal, boat is sitting down the street minus one wheel bearing and tire. Had a bearing go out with 30miles left. I'll post some more pics when I can. Trying to get this bearing fixed first. A long 2 days off travel I needed to sleep in.

We went back and forth between it and the BT but in the end I just felt more comfortable with the Donzi. My GF really wanted the BT and I was headed that route, to the point that I didn't even want to look at the Donzi, but when we pulled up on it I knew it was going to be the one. I tried hard to find reasons to go with the BT but lugging that 43 footer around just seemed like to much work. The Donzi has everything I want, 500 EFIs with low hours(375), 6 foot cabin, AC/Heat, vacu flush toilet with a descent size head, water heater, filler cushion for more comfortable sleeping, and XR drives.

I appreciate all the help that everyone has given durning my search and if I looked at your boat and didn't go that route thank you for your time.

I told my GF that going with the 38 ZX means that the BT will be another step up we can do one day... She still didn't care.

These pics aren't mine there from the seller. I'm water testing the end of March, I have no doubts it will run flawless. If I feel like towing her home I'll do it. If I find someone to do it for a reasonable price I might go that route.

First thing I'd do is change the head gaskets on both motors and change the springs. I had 2 friends last year that smoked 500efi's at 300ish hrs because of failed head gaskets. They burned between cylinders and ruined the blocks. Just some FYI
