Ice Melt

Anybody got any real time information on the ice. I was at our Marina last weekend and they still had 4 in of solid ice and Lake St Clair is ice as far out as you can see from shore.

Ready for Spring!!

I know that I'll be on the inland lakes long before the Great ones. Ice melts fast once the temp shoots up to 60 and the sun is beating down. There will be plenty of debris flushing out of the upper lakes too so I'd be very careful early on and avoid the rivers.

Detroit River last night. Shipping channel on the lake was open but the rest was still solid ice.

I love this link. A lot of water has opened up in a few days. I saved the screen shot from March 31 to compare. It's depressing now but a couple of hot, sunny days will open it all up!

I'm betting our first ride will be on a finger lake
