Default Cedar Point closed due to water main break...

I read Cedar Point closed down yesterday due to a water main break and is staying closed thru Sunday. From what I have read hey plan to reopen Monday. I hope so because we have a trip planned for Monday (by boat of course). I guess, worst case, if the park is closed we will just spend the day at PIB. Either way I am taking the new (to us) Concept across the lake tomorrow.

Yeah, they posted on their twitter page that the will be open as normal Monday. I just hope the park isn't busy as I am sure there are some that were there for the weekend that will extend their stay for a day..... Oh well, it's really the boat trip that I look forward to anyways... Finally getting a chance to run our new boat for longer than a few minutes at a time, marine forecast is for 2' or less so it should be a smooth ride. But we all know how Lake Erie can change on you.....

Made it to cedar point today, by truck..... Blew up one of my Optimax motors on the way to pick up some friends on the way to CP. Left the boat at his house and went in his truck... Will pick up the boat tomorrow and see how much damage was done...It was still running, and pretty good. But knocking like mad.

That stinks! Any warning, or did it just pop?

We were running great, came off if plane to enter some canals and noticed the starboard motor making a lot of noise. But seemed to feel/run fine. Pulled the hood and it was knocking pretty bad. So that's about all I know at this point. Will dig into it tomorrow after work...

Looks like the needle bearing in the compressor wrist pin let go. Fortunately it happened when we were running low RPM. Debris was limited to the compressor and oil return lines (up to the filters). No metal debris was found in the Air line (that goes to the fuel rail). Parts already on order and "should" be in by Friday. little over $700 for the compressor, but I guess that beats a power head.....
