Any recommendations for site-seeing? I'm not taking a boat either. Thanks!! Nick- |

All great visits listed above. The Big Springs is a must. Miners river below Pictured Rocks is cool. Canyon Falls north of 28 and south of L'Anse is fairly unknown and cool.

Fayette state park is a pretty cool old mining ghost town . There is a dozen or so late 1800/early 1900's mining town buildings you can go into.
If you go though manistique you can stop at the Mackinaw trails wine tasting/samplery, its still a favorite of my wifes. Marquettes ore dock brewery has some pretty good micro brews on tap.......its hard to make it home some days........ |
heres a shot of fayette
http://i59.tinypic.com/9rt6qt.jpg Never mind the two goofs, but a good shot of the huge limestone cliffs in the background. Its something else to see by boat, coming off plane by the huge cliffs into a small hidden harbor with crystal clear waters, is a great expierience. You can still get there by land too http://i62.tinypic.com/2mhepuu.jpg |
dont forget to go in the winter.. a lot more to see by snowmobile..
