Default PIB This weekend 9/20

Well the forecast is for some pretty strong winds and some heavy seas. But after the week I have had here at work, I really need a party atmosphere. We are tucking the drives and tabs and heading across Lake Erie tomorrow morning (as long as it isn't snowing...). Should be at "B-Dock" by noon.

Well given the unpredictable weather in September and a not so stable forecast for Sunday, I have decided to be a chicken and trailer down to Catawba State Park and launch there. I don't mind the rough ride to the island, I just have a tight schedule to keep Sunday and don't want to be forced to run the boat hard thru crappy weather to make a schedule. So I should still make it to B dock by noon at the latest.

Lake Erie can get pretty hairy this time of year but I love going to PIB late in the season.

Don't mind Erie on her worst day, but seeing as I have to be back and get my daughter to cheerleading in washtenaw county by 2:00pm Sunday..... Decided to take the safe way. But in the end, doesn't matter how you get to PIB, as long as you get there....

That's my friend Kevin's 271. We had too much fun Saturday. So much in fact I was still paying for it on Monday....... The ride back to Catawba State Park was fun on Sunday. It wouldn't have been much fun for much longer. So happy we trailered down this time. The trip all the way up to the Detroit River would have been no fun...
