We will be meeting at the "spark plug" at 11:00 if anyone wants to run with a group or needs to follow someone into the island. For those not local and familiar with the spark plug just head out the shipping channel from the river mouth and it is the first large permanent channel marker you come to, looks like a spark plug hence the name. If you need further help or directions pm me I will gladly help. Plan as I know it is to be at island around noon and raft off for a while. After that it's up to you when to go or where, I'm sure different groups will form to go wherever.

Make sure you stay in the shipping channel when leaving the saginaw river!
I plan on leaving the mouth of the river around 10:30am if anyone wants or needs me to lead them to the spark plug just let me know.

Thirdchildhood, if you launch from the dnr launch i'll be launching right next door to you at the bay city yacht club.

Myself and a couple others will be meeting at the spark plug around 11 as well. I will be in the 27 Fountain with the American Flag graphics along with a 32 Sunsation XRT blue/silver in color.

Yes, I'm launching from the DNR site at the mouth of the river. We are leaving here kind of early. I printed up some charts. Would like to run as a group to Charity island and need guidance on the safe way to get close to the island. Capping the day at Hooters on the river sounds cool. Yellow 22 Donzi. Carl.

Third, I spoke to Fish last night and we can meet you at the launch around 10:30ish. My boat has a white hull with black, red and orange graphics. I look forward to meeting you. Looks like great weather with a good turn out.

On the fb page it says everyone will meet at the "spark plug" at 11. I know where that is so we can meet there or at the launch? I have charts and can get to the spark plug. Supposed to be the hottest day yet. I'm bringing the big cooler. I'm in a yellow Donzi 22 Classick.........Carl

Carl, I'll be heading by the launch around 10:30, let's meet there and head to the spark plug together. I think they are going to sit there until about 11:30 and let the fun begin. Totally up to you though, Chris.

I plan to attend also, just got home from Chicago with a new to me 336 Formula. I will be launching from independence boat launch around ten and will meet at the plug at 11 hopefully. Since the boat is new to me this will be a good chance to get familiar with it while not running across the Bay alone.
