Default Places to visit in Canada

I'm thinking about getting a Nexus pass for this summer, a pass that will allow me to easily go to and from Canada by boat. I keep my boat on Lake St. Clair and I know all about the U.S. side of the lake but not very much about the Canadian side. I was wondering some good places that I could take my boat to in Canada, ie. restaurants, parks, or other places of interest. I would like to start in the Lake St. Clair area, but if you have any good recommendations about possible places off Lake Erie, Huron, or Ontario I would like to hear about those as well. Thanks!

Lake Erie, Leamington Canada, Tomato Festival. Really nice marina, great beaches and fun area to explore.

Georgian Bay is the best place in the world to boat! 30,000 islands,Tobermory, Midland, Parry Sound, Killarney and any where in between. Take a week and explore.

I have spent many good times in Tobermory, great diving and boating. The school bus in Killarny serves the best fish in the world!

Penetang has a very good ramp and is a good spot to take off from to head north up through the 30000 islands to Parry Sound, you can also hit the Westerns, beautiful spot. Tiobermory as well as Lion Head are also two of my favorite places. Penatang , Midland, Parry Sound much more developed then tobermory and north Channel area but still it is no problem to find a quiet Bay all to your self. You need good charts and a good GPS if you are in this area and must know how to use them as Rocks are plentiful.

In Lake Erie there is;
Colchester -- small marina-- bar a short walk away -- small village
Leamington has a great marina, and is a bigger town, with things to do
Pelee Island is a great place for a stop -- not crazy nightlife -- quieter -- but great to get out and explore with nice beaches.
Further down the lake is Erieaeu -- nice spot/marina

Great to hear that you got a NEXUS Pass, they are great, good for 5 years and can use them crossing the Border without having to carry your Passport with you. Lake St. Clair has Lighthouse Cove with a couple of Restaurant and Bars not much of night life if that is what you are looking for. Belle River Marina is a nice clean Marina with a Restaurant and a short walk to the Town, where you have all the things a small town would have. Closer to Windsor is the Sand Bar Grill with a nice little restaurant and Bar, a local spot. Windsors Lakeview Park Marina is a fairly decent Marina with a Restaurant and Bar, Lilly Kazzilly's. From the Marina you can take a Taxi Downtown where there is Caesars Windsor Casino which has shows almost every weekend , buy tickets in advance and good food. There is also the Downtown Bars which cater to the younger generation with many American Teens coming as the Drinking age is 19 years old and some good places to eat as well. Hope this gives you a little more information to think about.
