Default Need a new place to visit

We need a new spot to visit in Michigan or Ohio. Looking for somewhere to go this weekend. We've been to all of the popular places numerous times. What else is out there? We can sleep on the boat, but would prefer to stay at a marina with shore power and showers. Would prefer something with some restaurants on the water and decent launch ramp. Boats are a 38 Powerquest and a 32 Fountain, so we need a pretty good ramp to get them in. We've done: Torch, Boyne, T.C., St. Clair, Huron, Erie, Put In Bay, Kelly's, etc...Never done G. Haven, but not sure it's worth the hassle from the cops. Considered running over to Milwaukee. Is Burt and Mullet worth the drive for these size boats? Thanks in advance guys!

Do Burt and Mullett, stay at the Fleetwood in Cheboygan or lock down and stay at the municipal. Then go to Hessel, Cedarville in the Upper Peninsula, cruise east to DeTour and up the St Mary's to Sault Ste Marie. There are alot of options out of Cheboygan, good ramp and waterside restaurant. After this weekend, take the short ride to Boyne!

We ran up the St Mary's river to Sault Ste Marie last year. It was a beautiful trip. We stayed several days at the Sault and loved it. You could trailer up to Rogers City or Cheboygan to launch. I've seen the ramp at Rogers City and it is pretty nice. Then you'd head north-ish to Detour and the Sault. Maybe stop and see Mackinac Island, Mackinaw City and St Ignace if you have the time.

This is all more than a weekend trip, but still any of the destinations here or in snowhammer's post would be great.

Nice call gl, St. Ignace has a great marina and you can walk to the Driftwood or Village Inn.

We went to Mack island for 3 days in mid June. Kids loved terrorizing the island

Bay City is a great place this weekend. Great fireworks and tons of boats. Launching would have to be a Bangor launch as Vets is closed due to the festival. It can accommodate both boats. The docks are a bit short, but plenty of upper 30 and lower 40s launch from there.

Both are wonderful towns. Leland has a newer marina and it is light years better than the old. We haven't been to Frankfort by boat but we drove there and the town is really cool.

Thanks everyone for the replies. Still haven't made up our mind, but these new places all sound interesting.
