Still in the planning stages and thought we knew what we wanted…still sorta think we do, but the water has become a bit muddied.
We like to boat out of the Grand Haven area and travel the west coast of Mi, primarily to the north & up around to Mackinac Island.
We hadn't considered anything larger than a small 30ish boat, so I haven't been paying attention to slip availability for a longer boat.
So here's my question (s):
Do any of you guys with the larger boats - 40ish that require a 45-50 slip - ever have a problem finding a spot to park when you're traveling up & down the west coast of MI ?
How much does that extra 10' from say a 33 to a 43 limit what's available when traveling?
Any thoughts are appreciated

Could have a problem finding a 40 foot or larger well in Traverse City. They do not allow boats to dock in wells that are shorter then the overall boat length. But there usually is side dock space available except for Cherry Festival/4th of July.
You can reserve transient wells through the state of michigan.
