Fall boating can be sketchy, weather can pick up out of nowhere. Try to plan to stay if you go to the islands "just in case" it gets nasty.
I may have an engine rebuilt by then and in the boat, and always loved going to PIB late in the season. Oktoberfest at PIB was usually my last run.

Why not? Don't you do engine swaps in like one day? I remember, I was there for one......
If you didn't break everything you touched, and I wasn't planning on going beck in for October, you could borrow the one of my busted ass engine. But I fear I would never see it again.
