Figured I would start a thread for whoever on here is headed to the islands any given weekend. A chance to check in here to see who will be around, meet other boaters on the site.

I am going up this Sat 6/3 - I'll be over @ Park Place on PIB, say hello if you're around

Headed up to PIB Saturday the 10th (tomorrow)

Boat is in a zillion pieces at the moment, raising the X and rebuilding gimble.

I see, thought you had the engine done and were putting back together.... What will you be on, the ferry? I mean, who will you be with, what boat?

Taking the jet over and staying at a friends house on the island. My Brother (one with cancer) is doing the mills race tonight, so if he pulls it off, will need to do some beverages with him tomorrow.

Didn't make it to an island this weekend do to electrical issues but did see the "she's gone" outterlimits boat on the trailer in my marina parking lot in Sandusky. Is it new to the area or just visiting?

^^^I saw that. Man was it hot, also, many many blow boaters took over B dock. Had a great time, trying to get back this weekend. Might just anchor out and enjoy the beach Saturday, anyone wanna have a raft up party? We were off Cedar Point beach Sunday, it was perfect.

We could definitely be in for that. Sandbar, cp beach, or even north side ki. What's ever best for the wind will work.

For this weekend we will most likely go up Friday night, and raft up Saturday, weather dependent. Or come up Sat morning, go swimming, raft up and stay over somewhere Sat night.

Regardless, I think Sat would be ideal (with Sunday being family day / Fathers day).

I would like to go back to CP beach, but like Ron said, depends on the wind.

It was so windy out Sunday, it worked out well, protected by the breakwall. I will PM you my number, or get ahold of Ron if you have his.

Is Tim coming. Looks like they changed the forecast for Saturday, just got sunny. I will have to see what the wife has planned too.

I would also like to make a run from Sandusky to CLE, or from CLE to sandusky, or both if anyone is interested.

Possible run from Sandusky down to CLE on a Sat, overnight somewhere, and run back to Sandusky on Sunday. Anyone???? (Could always trailer one way)

Where's the ideal place to dock overnight downtown?

My boat is on the fritz, thinking it may be an alternator. I will attempt to fix this weekend/next week, but headed to California and then down to the Tenn Fun Run. I may be @ PIB weekend of 8,15, or 22nd. Will check back in then.

Topic swerve - What is your arrival time for Nashville? I think we're arriving Thursday morning.

I leave CLE @ 3-4am and get there around noon, put the boat in and head out to the afternoon raft up. It's sounds silly, but gives me an extra work day on Wed. Seemed to work last year.

Is the location the same? Blue Turtle Bay? I put in at that small ramp, not doing that again. May go over to the State Park.

Cool - as far as I know, Sam's (same as last year). I am planning to put in at the dam (which I think is the state park). I'll ask a buddy of mine for the name of it.

Yes, please do. When my motor seized last year, I putted over to the closest dock which was a little shady, small, and insufficient for my boat, but we got it pulled no problem. I imagine the ramp by the dam is the best option. Isn't that around the "North" side of the lake where we got our first and only poker chip last year?

Yeah, I helped Joe load his boat there 4 years ago, it's not bad

None of these ramps let you float on/off, all power load, which I do not like. Temperamental blower engine boats w/ big diameter props kind of a pain to load under power, then subtract one engine, gets interesting....

This has got to be better than that broken POS at Sam's. I didn't know if we were going to make it on that one (pulling out).

^^Agreed, plus my driver needs launching lessons. He ran me down that ramp a weee bit too fast for my liking. Launched me like a bass boat @ 20mph (not really, but seriously, what was he thinking?) Could have pushed water into my exhaust....

That Sam's ramp is sketchy.

Thought this was about pib and kelleys I'm confused. ...:picard1:. Get the boat fixed and lets go boating Justin gees lol. We will make it down there for that run one day but with a little one don't think it would be a run for him. Few more years

Sorry - the derailment was my fault. I parked next to Frickstyle last year at Old Hickory, and I admired his boat. Just chit chatting. I'll move on - I'm probably not welcome around you cig guys anyway! LOL

I'm just bustin balls... it's cool. I Hurd it was a fun run and would like to join you guys one day.

Actually it's pretty laid back. Some people bring their kids. I'm sure Seb would be welcomed, lots of raft ups and swimming, I think it gets more crazy at night, and out on the town in Nashville.

All-in - You are totally welcomed here, come on up to Lake Erie and we'll zip around, plenty to do. I like your boat too it's sweet, I'm not a brand snob. Trying to get some electrical gremlins ironed out before Old Hickory.

Re: "BustedBoatStyle" is pretty funny. Why are Cigs always broken? typical things you will hear from Cig owners up here:
1. "My boat is broken"
2. "I'm building a Cigarette, it's going to be sweet, been working on it for years."
3. "If I wanted a fast boat I would have bought a Fountain or Cat, this thing will go 80mph in ten footers"
4. "My boat is broken", blah, blah, blah

My next tentative date for PIB is Sat the 8th. Anyone headed up?
