Default Detroit Marinas

Anybody ever stay at any Marinas and then go to Ford Field for games or a concert? What are the closest, nicest, best Marinas around Detroit? Any that provide transportation to Ford Field?

Anyone know anything about Sinbad's? I saw that their site says they provide transportation to games on game days.

Would prefer to walk but looks like it's aways to the stadium from the river.

There used to be public docks behind the Marriott. The Marriott may have changed, but I bet there is a good chance the docks are still there....at least they were 10-15 years ago 😎

Run dont walk if you dare to do it on foot, good luck on your return to the docks at night.

Go to Sinbads and and get a ride. Its not the best of neighborhood east of 375.

Each city has a less desired area... but are you saying the whole detroit is shady? Or just along the detroit river?

I haven't taken the boat to an event yet but I walk around downtown Detroit plenty without any problems. We are going to see what's up with the marina at Miliken State Park this summer though. It's the only marina I'm aware of downtown unless there is something at "Port Detroit."

I have stayed many times at Miliken State Park for downtown events. Nice gated marina with floating docks, bathrooms and showers.
