Default Catawba Island Boat Launch-BEWARE LONG TRAILERS

FYI. In the Winter of 2017-2018 the boat launch at Catawba Island State Park was repaved/constructed. Not sure if the Army Corps or the DNR were the engineers, but there's now a considerable hump at the top of the ramp where the blacktop and concrete ramp come together. Depending on the construction of your trailer, you may hang up the bottom of the trailer while backing down the ramp. My estimate is if you have anything longer than 25', I would avoid this launch in the future.

Interesting.
I was past when they were finishing it up a couple months back.

Not my favorite area anyhow.

IMO, Mazurks access at Lakeside is the best for ramp, location, parking, security etc.
