Cool

The original person that laid up the Dragon I believe was Doug Wright's shop but I may be wrong with that. Good luck to the new owner.

Well, I hope it runs 125 as good as it looks standing still! Please post some pictures as you go through the rigging process. Of course, a pic or two of the maiden voyage and dialing in would be appreciated.

Best of luck with it.

140 mph with stock... S T O C K 525's or a 525 based motor?

Not taking away from this boat, it looks great with the paint scheme but this boat, be it a new Dragon or a old Dragon (unless they really improved the bottom) would be good to reach 108 (with 700 NXT's) as with 525's it was never the fastest boat. The Dragon race boat in the UK with 525's and #6's ran high 80's.

Keep us informed, engine ECU and Whipple mod's and propellers as stock is what the impression is being projected but I don't think it will be so in order to reach your speed goal.

it is hard to see in the pics but the red metalflake is outstanding, love the whole boat really l;ike the non skid on the platform and how u dont lose the paint job back there.... the new mold owner definatly has a great heritage, should be a nice boat when they build it

I can assure you the 525's were all stock and factory sealed and inspected by Mercury. The boat oversea's ran 105 with #6 and staggard, I have already personally ran 98 in this boat before I derigged it, lost a drive on last run and still ran 50mph on 1 motor at last years Miami Boat show poker run, plenty of people there can testify to that, so I dont think 125 is out of the question for the right set-up, and thats what I love to do.
