I can assure you the 525's were all stock and factory sealed and inspected by Mercury. The boat oversea's ran 105 with #6 and staggard, I have already personally ran 98 in this boat before I derigged it, lost a drive on last run and still ran 50mph on 1 motor at last years Miami Boat show poker run, plenty of people there can testify to that, so I dont think 125 is out of the question for the right set-up, and thats what I love to do.
Best of luck on getting where you want to be with the boat. I will be watching and I hope to see you achive your goal. Many manufactures will be watching to see if the bar is raised once again i would bet. |
If it runs that fast it will not be an everyday Top End. I think it is obtainable on a long straightaway with large wheels on it. I would think that this boat would be in the 110-115mph with 700's. I think the raceboat with staggered 525's ran just over 100mph back in the SV 525 days..

I can see 115 and that is even a great number. 125 even 120 would be outstanding. I like the looks of the boat and at 100 MPH I would be happy so I am not trying to knock this project by any means.

For the Dragon to run 120+ on stock 525s would be astounding, almost unbelievable.
Re-read...He is going to be running 700's & NXT's...and I don't think he'll get close to 120... |

Love the glass and the top
Nice boat! I love the lines and the way the glass wraps around the sides.
