All I can say is the pics do the boat no justice. I love the lines of this boat. Not liking the GTMM logo on the side though. I'm sure I could get used to it.

Can't wait to hear the water test numbers.

ktron 02-29-2012 09:28 AM

Thanks!

The engine compartment was not complete at the Miami Show. Had to go out and get painted which took forever as she had to wait her turn.

Engines are in, tailpipes need a couple tweakes to get them right.

Sea trial will begin very soon.

Will keep everyone posted.

Can't wait to hear how she runs. The boat looked great in Miami!!!

Everyone is antzy to see her in the water. Alway seems like the final touches really take all the time. Gio and Scott are putting their heart and soul into this project. Everything needs to be perfect and 100% ready to go before she hits the water.

Does GTMM use balsa or foam coring for the bottom?

CIG3 08-29-2012 09:36 AM

Quick update on GTMM 39001. She is in final stages of rigging. Engines are going back in for final time this week. Decided to pull them back out and anodize all the hardware instead of powdercoat. Troy is working hard to get her done. making templates for each installation. This will make future rigggin time much less than #1. She is a couple weeks from her first sea trial. Gio and Scott are chomping at the bit to see how she run.

The is much interest from all over the world so time to put best foot forward on performance and fit and finish. She is truly a work of art.

Very impressive, very classy!

My only fear is the color being to HOT even though
its always been my fav...color

Jon

CIG3 10-31-2012 02:23 PM

Customer requested color. I love it too, but may be alittle warn. The light tan interior should be pretty cool though.

CIG3 11-17-2012 10:33 AM

First water test late yesterday. Will have results soon.

CIG3 11-21-2012 08:59 AM

Well first Sea Trial was a success. She planed out in about 3 seconds with a very high "X". Accelerated to 90mph like a freight train.
Put some time on the power at a nice cruise then back for post shake down inspection. No leaks all systems go. Gonna try some differant props and drive height to get handling and speed where it needs to be. Should have some more info this week.

She ran great we ordered larger props today, hit the rev limiter hard and went into guardian mode. Will drop the drives another 1/2" and with the new props she will be a rocket.

Scarab3DMC 11-22-2012 04:35 AM

nice, where are you testing!

CIG3 11-26-2012 10:42 AM

Lauderdale.... Troy and the guys from Supreme marine have been doing the initial testing.

She easily hit 100mph on Wednesday afternoon test and all over the rev limiters. Ordered new Herrings. Should see 110mph when all said and done.

professor_speed 12-14-2012 11:21 PM

no updates for two weeks?

CIG3 12-17-2012 08:53 AM

Props should be here this week. Herring is running behind as Europe is buying up anything they can make. I'll keep everyone posted.

professor_speed 12-17-2012 08:16 PM

whats going on in Europe that they have sudden need for props?

CIG3 12-19-2012 07:30 AM

Wish I Knew. I'd bet theyare getting ready for 2013 UIM and P-1 race season. many of those teams can afford 5-10 sets for the season. Big UIM guys will run a set once or twice then scrap.
